Le Creuset

Le Creuset was founded in 1925 in Fresnoy-le-Grand, northern France — by two Belgian entrepreneurs. Armand Desaegher and Octave Aubecq combined their expertise in casting and enameling to create the world's first colourful enameled cast iron cookware. The name "creuset" means crucible, and the iconic Flame colour was inspired by the intense orange glow of molten cast iron. Today, 100 years on, the collection spans over 200 colours and nearly 1,000 product shapes. Le Creuset is not just cookware — it is an heirloom, passed down from generation to generation.
