Bialetti
In 1933, Alfonso Bialetti invented the Moka Express in Crusinallo, northern Italy — a revolutionary device that brought espresso-quality coffee into the home. The inspiration? His own laundry boiler, which used steam pressure to push water upwards. Simple, ingenious and timeless.
After the Second World War, his son Renato took over the business and turned the Moka Express into a global brand. He also created the famous logo — the Omino con Baffi, the little mustachioed man — modelled on his own family.
Today, Bialetti is found in 90% of Italian kitchens. Not because it has to be, but because it works — and because every cup of coffee is a small ritual. At Cook & Serve Leuven you'll find a carefully selected range from the Bialetti collection.
